About
Aaron Zimola is a violinist and fiddler known for his expressive, genre-blending style that draws from jazz, Americana, folk, and classic country. With a background in both classical technique and improvisation, his playing moves easily between elegant waltzes, soulful ballads, and high-energy fiddle tunes. Aaron has performed and collaborated with a range of artists and projects, including C:L Shaw, The Kamikaze Snowmen, G Tom Mac (Gerard McMahon), The Barn Burners, and other musicians across the United States. He brings a warm, conversational approach to live performance, shaping each set to the room and creating music that feels intimate, dynamic, and timeless.
Aaron is also a historian specializing in 19th-century violin maker George W. Fisk. Zimola combines scholarship and artistry in his work, playing and presenting to groups across the world on this famous violin maker.
